Leads the Buckeye attack, forming a powerful 1-2 punch with Lindsay Eckles, and returns as the team’s top scorer … the 2001 Big Ten Freshman of the Year …an All-Big Ten Second Team, NSCAA Great Lakes Region Second Team, Soccer Buzz Freshman All-America Third Team and Soccer Buzz All-Great Lakes Region Second Team selection in 2001… finished her freshman campaign tied for second in the Ohio State single-season record book for points (25), tied for third (with Eckles) for goals (10), tied for fifth for assists (five) and sixth for shots (62). 2001 (Freshman season) Exploded onto the scene during her rookie campaign, leading the team in every offensive category: goals (10), assists (five; tied with Emily Thorpe), points (25), shots (62) and game-winning goals (three) … honored by her teammates as team’s most valuable offensive player … started up front in 18-of-19 matches and dominated conference statistics as well, earning Big Ten Freshman of the Year accolades as just the second honoree in Ohio State women’s soccer history and first since 1995 … ranked in every offensive category in the Big Ten, finishing tied for fifth overall in point scoring, fourth in points per game (1.32), tied for fifth in goal scoring, tied for fourth in goals per game (0.53), tied for 10th in assists and seventh in shots … an All-Big Ten Second Team selection and was a two-time Big Ten Player of the Week … the conference’s first recipient of the season (Sept. 3) for her three goals in the Buckeyes’ first two matches (vs. Wright State and Kent State) and the last recipient of the season (Oct. 29) for her goal in the seventh minute and assist on Liz Mumley’s game winner in the 10th minute in Ohio State’s 2-1 upset of then-No. 4 Penn State Oct. 26, ending the Nittany Lions’ 29-game conference unbeaten streak … also a NSCAA Great Lakes Region Second Team, Soccer Buzz Freshman All-America Third Team and Soccer Buzz All-Great Lakes Region Second Team selection in 2001 … named to Soccer America’s Team of the Week the week of Oct. 22-28 … scored first collegiate goal unassisted on a breakaway in the 59th minute of her first career match (Aug. 31 vs. Wright State) and added a second goal five minutes later … recorded first assist Sept. 9 vs. Boston College … capped off an outstanding season by scoring the game-tying goal and assisting in Sarah Lanham’s overtime game winner in the Big Ten quarterfinal vs. Purdue … also put up two two-goal outings (vs. Wright State and Iowa) and three three-point performances (vs. Penn State, Evansville and Purdue) … match-high six shots vs. Michigan State, Wisconsin and Penn State and managed at least one shot in every match … 32-of-62 shots were on goal for a .516 SOG percentage.
Michigan Hawks/ODP A member of the same club team as current Buckeye Kiley Enmark … a Region II team member from 1999 to 2001 … traveled with Buckeye teammate Lindsay Eckles and the Region II ODP squad to Las Vegas in Feb., 2001, for a tryout with U.S. National Team. Portage Central High School Captain as a junior and senior … led high school team to the state championship title in 2000 … an all-state first team selection in ’98 and ’00 and all-state second team honoree in ’99.
